
Recently I found a small rug that had a US map on it. I brought it to school and was amazed how many Middle School kids did not know the geographic locations of the states. So I handed them a blank US map to fill in and we went from there, Discussion was awesome and hopefully they learned a lot. We used the rug as the "answer key". Now on to the capitals? Well maybe we will wait a bit. Here are some ideas . . .
